  • 1 tablespoon turbinado sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix in dry ingredients alternating with sour cream until just combined.
  6. Fold in chopped apples and nuts gently until evenly distributed.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle turbinado sugar on top.
  8. Bake for about 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool for about ten minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
