  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened (for glaze)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened (for glaze)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)
  • 2 tbsp milk (as needed for glaze consistency)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg; stir until combined.
  2. Knead dough until smooth, then let rise covered in a warm spot for about an hour.
  3. While the dough rises, beat together cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla. Fold in chopped strawberries and jam.
  4. Roll out dough on a floured surface into a rectangle; spread filling evenly on top.
  5. Sprinkle cinnamon mixture over filling; roll tightly and slice into pieces.
  6. Arrange rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes while preheating the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. For glaze, mix softened cream cheese with butter and powdered sugar; drizzle over warm rolls.
