1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, diced
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup crispy cooked turkey bacon, crumbled
1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
1 tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp smoked paprika
Salt & pepper to taste
3 tbsp unsalted butter
3 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 cups whole milk
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tsp garlic powder
12 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente
2 cups shredded mozzarella
1 cup shredded cheddar
½ cup grated Parmesan for topping
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Add diced onion and sauté until soft. Stir in minced garlic, marinara sauce, crumbled turkey bacon, Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
For the béchamel, melt butter in a saucepan, whisking in flour. Gradually add milk until thickened. Stir in Parmesan cheese and garlic powder; season with salt and pepper.
In a baking dish, layer meat sauce, noodles, béchamel, mozzarella, and cheddar repeatedly until ingredients are exhausted. Top with extra mozzarella and Parmesan.
Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes; remove foil and bake another 15 minutes until golden brown. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
