  • 12 ounces linguine or fettuccine
  • 1/2 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 pound turkey sausage, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Cajun seasoning (to taste)
  • Olive oil
  • Unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season shrimp and chicken with half the Cajun seasoning. In a skillet over medium-high heat, sauté chicken in olive oil until golden brown; remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, cook shrimp until pink; remove from skillet.
  4. Brown turkey sausage slices in the skillet, then add bell peppers and garlic; sauté until softened.
  5. Make a roux with butter and flour in the skillet. Gradually whisk in chicken broth and cream until smooth.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese and remaining seasoning; add back proteins and vegetables.
  7. Toss pasta into the sauce until well coated.
