  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 oz dark chocolate (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp fresh orange zest
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp kosher sea salt

Instructions

  1. 1. Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl until almost fully melted.
  2. 2. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt.
  3. 3. Using a mixer, beat the melted butter with granulated and brown sugar until fluffy. Add orange zest and vanilla; mix well.
  4. 4. Incorporate eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
  5. 5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined. Gently fold in chopped dark chocolate.
  6. 6. Chill dough for at least two hours or overnight.
  7. 7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare baking sheets.
