Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 cups fresh cheese tortellini
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with salt and pepper. In a large pot, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned, about 6–8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, melt an additional tablespoon of butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  3. Pour in chicken broth while scraping any bits from the bottom of the pot. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Add tortellini to the sauce and cook for 4–6 minutes until tender.
  5. Return cooked chicken to the pot, stir in Parmesan cheese until melted, and simmer for an additional 2–3 minutes.
