  • 2 cups (400 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 cups (336 g) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup (109 g) finely chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a heavy-bottom saucepan over medium heat, combine butter and sugar. Stir continuously until the mixture reaches 285°F on a candy thermometer (about 35-45 minutes).
  3. Pour the hot mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Sprinkle semisweet chocolate chips over the hot toffee and let sit for 1-2 minutes to soften.
  5. Spread melted chocolate evenly and sprinkle finely chopped pecans on top, pressing gently.
  6. Allow to cool at room temperature for about an hour until set.
  7. Break into pieces and store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
