  • 3 garlic cloves (optional)
  • 75g melted salted butter
  • 240ml hot milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Peel and quarter the potatoes, placing them in a pot of cold salted water (add garlic if desired). Bring to a boil over medium heat and cook for 15-20 minutes until tender.
  2. Drain the potatoes well and return them to the pot. Let them steam dry for about two minutes.
  3. Mash the potatoes while adding the melted butter gradually. Slowly incorporate hot milk until you achieve your desired consistency.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving warm.
