  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • Extra chopped pecans
  • Sea salt flakes
  • Drizzled caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour and brown sugar; cut in cold butter until crumbly. Press into the pan.
  3. Sprinkle pecans over the crust.
  4. In a saucepan, heat butter and brown sugar until bubbling; cook for one minute to achieve caramel consistency.
  5. Pour caramel over the pecans and crust.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden-brown.
  7. Sprinkle chocolate chips over hot bars; let sit to soften before spreading evenly.
