  • 3 boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes (28 oz)
  • 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup freshly shaved parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 8 oz rotini pasta (uncooked)
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella

Instructions

  1. In your crockpot, combine chicken breasts, garlic, crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and chicken broth.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until chicken is cooked through.
  3. Shred the chicken inside the pot and stir in parmesan cheese, heavy cream, and uncooked rotini pasta. Cover again and cook on low for another 30 minutes or high for 15 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, sauté bread crumbs in butter until golden brown.
  5. Serve hot, topped with shredded mozzarella cheese and sautéed bread crumbs.
