  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons instant coffee granules
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 pan with foil, spraying it with nonstick spray.
  2. In a bowl, whisk melted butter and dark cocoa powder until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, beat sugar, eggs, espresso powder, and vanilla until light and fluffy.
  4. Fold in salt, baking powder, and flour gently until just combined.
  5. Spread batter evenly in the prepared pan; bake for 25-28 minutes until slightly sticky in center. Cool completely.
  6. For frosting, mix heavy cream and instant coffee granules until dissolved. Beat softened butter with salt; gradually add powdered sugar and coffee mixture until fluffy.
