  • 4 medium apples (peeled, cored, and chopped)
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (plus 1 teaspoon)
  • 1 package refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with frosting)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine apple pie filling, chopped apples, sugar, water, butter, cinnamon, cornstarch, and an additional tablespoon of water. Stir frequently until thickened.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Flatten each cinnamon roll slightly and place about two tablespoons of the apple filling mixture in the center.
  4. Fold edges over to seal the filling and shape into mini pies.
  5. Place filled rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Drizzle with included frosting after cooling slightly.
