  • 2 Frozen puff pastry sheets
  • 8 oz Cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1/3 cup White granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp Pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 Large egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Thaw frozen puff pastry sheets at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the chocolate ganache by warming heavy cream and mixing with chocolate chips until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, mix room-temperature cream cheese with sugar and vanilla until well combined.
  4. Roll out thawed pastry and cut into rectangles, then layer with the cream cheese filling.
  5. Apply an egg wash around edges of each rectangle for a golden finish.
  6. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 17-20 minutes until golden brown and flaky.
  7. Drizzle cooled danishes with chocolate ganache before serving.
