  • 11 oz soft caramels or caramel bits
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chocolate chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time and stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix in dry ingredients until just combined; fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Press two-thirds of the dough into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  7. Melt caramels with heavy cream until smooth; pour over the dough.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of remaining dough over the caramel layer.
  9. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown; cool completely before slicing.
