  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup whole pecans for topping
  • 1 pre-made or homemade 9-inch pie crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt chocolate chips and butter in a saucepan over medium heat until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  3. Stir in granulated and brown sugars until combined.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, whisking well; then mix in vanilla.
  5. Gently fold in flour and salt until just mixed.
  6. Stir in chopped pecans.
  7. Pour mixture into the pie crust and smooth the top.
  8. Arrange whole pecans on top decoratively.
  9. Bake for 35–40 minutes or until set; a toothpick should come out with moist crumbs.
  10. Let cool completely before slicing.
